Book Publishing & Soul Development

This is the last article in my Claiming the Promise series. In the first article, Have Some Giants for Dinner, I talked about Caleb and the spirit of the worshipper.

In the second, How Bad Do You Want It, I talked about how important it was to have the spirit of the warrior and the willingness to fight for your desires. I spoke about how important this was for accessing your promise.

This week, I’m going to talk about the spirit of the worshipper and why it is the difference between just being good and becoming great. As you are working on your book, going through the process of publishing it, or preparing to launch that book, be sure that you are bringing the spirit of the worshipper with you.

It will make all the difference between producing a good book and producing a great book, between publishing a good book and publishing a great book, and between a good launch and a great launch.

The Blessings of the Worshipper

When the rest of the Israelites were murmuring and complaining about the giants they were going to have to face if they took possession of the Promised Land, Caleb stepped forward and spoke boldly. He stated, “We are well able to possess this land.”

He saw the possibilities and the opportunities in the promised land. This is the blessing that comes from spending time in praise and worship of the Lord.

Understand that there will ALWAYS be problems when you are working on a great book. There will ALWAYS be problems when you go to publish that great book. There will ALWAYS be problems when you go to launch that great book.

Seeing the Possibilities and the Opportunities In the Problems

When you spend time in praise and worship of the Lord, you begin to tap into the possibilities and your creativity begins to unlock. What used to be a problem turns into a plan. What you used to see as a problem, when you have a worshipper’s heart, begins to unlock your creativity and you begin to see the possibilities and the opportunities in the midst of the crisis.

This is the place where God is calling us to. Instead of us always murmuring and complaining about what we don’t have, murmuring and complaining about the opposition, murmuring and complaining about the job and about the boss, about our husband, about our wife, our children – watch this – God wants us to break free of those mindsets and begin to understand that our next level will always involve an oxymoron.

Where there is a pain, there is some gain in the midst of it. Where there’s a mess, there’s a message behind it. Where there’s a test, there’s a testimony that God wants to birth through you.

Beyond all of what we see here with our natural eyes is something that we can tap into, something brewing beneath the surface. If we fail to be strong in heart, which comes from our mindset, we will not be able to tap into the blessing that is waiting for us.

This is what makes great people great. They see the possibilities and opportunities in the midst of the crisis.

Decide To Be Great

Everybody wants to be great, but not everybody wants to go through the process of what it takes to be great. Decide that you want to be great. Decide that whenever you face a problem or an obstacle or a giant, you are going to spend time in praise and worship of the Lord. You are not going to murmur and complain about what you don’t have, or about the opposition, or about your spouse or your children or any other thing.

Instead, you’re going to praise God for those things and you are going to worship Him because you remember…

“All things work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to His purpose.” – Romans 8:2

Gratitude is the source of every great attitude. It’s what makes great people great!
