What is prayer? There are many different types and definitions for prayer, but my favorite definition is that prayer is “the weapon used to enforce the victory that already belongs to us.” With things being as they are in today’s world, we can no longer afford to be powerless at this time. In order to live and display the kingdom life, we must first stop praying to obtain the victory and begin praying from the victory.

In doing this, we pray from a place of authority and power as a kingdom citizen. Jesus said, “Therefore I say unto you, what things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.” Mark 11:24 (KJV) Prayer alone is not the end all. Along with prayer, we must also exhibit faith. Faith is the activator for the manifestation of the answer. Hebrews 11:1 (KJV) states, “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” When prayer and faith are combined, the victory will manifest.
Because we are spiritual beings living in a natural world, our weapons are not carnal. For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: “For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds…” (2 Corinthians 10:3-4 KJV)
In order for our prayers to become more effective and in order to see the manifestation of our desires, we must begin to stop praying from a petition and request standpoint, and begin to pray from a command and declaration standpoint. We have been given the ability to bring those things into manifestation through the name of Jesus.
There is power in the name of Jesus! Jesus is the Enforcer, and we are His instruments. Jesus was made the Enforcer through His death on the cross and His resurrection. He was given all power in heaven and on earth.
The definition of force is “the capacity to do work or cause physical change, energy, strength, or active power.” As the Enforcer , He has given us the power and authority through the use of His name to get the desired results. We are to call those things that be not as though they are already done. We are to command things to line up with the Word of God. To truly pray by faith, we must believe we receive when we pray, not after we pray. I love the following Scripture referencing Abraham, “As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations, before him whom he believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were.” (Romans 4:17 KJV) In other words, the things you pray for or desire already exist in the kingdom—and faith is the substance. We are empowered, through prayer, to produce the manifestation into the earth realm where it will no longer be unseen but seen.
There are many different types of prayer that produce various manifestations and results. Prayer affects and inspires your thoughts. It penetrates the spirit realm. It moves you into a place of power and authority. It increases your faith. It creates intimacy with God. It empowers you to manifest victory in every area of your life.
It is my hope that the enforcement of victory prayer will cause you to consider praying from a place of victory rather than a place of defeat. I pray your faith will increase as the manifestation of your prayers becomes more frequent, and your testimonies inspire others.
